Join the Partnership for Public Service at one of six Call to Serve Federal Advisor Trainings for the 2009-10 school year. These full-day interactive professional development sessions will equip you and your colleagues with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively advise students on the federal job search and application process.
Who Should Attend?
Colleges and universities use Federal Advisor Trainings to learn effective advising strategies for students and alums interested in federal careers as well as to build public service champions across campus. Schools generally send 3-4 representatives who work with and advise students on career opportunities in a variety of capacities. These cross-campus teams include representatives from Career Services, Employer Relations, Internship Programs, Departmental Career Services, Academic or Student Affairs, and Faculty and Academic Advisors.
How Much Does the Training Cost?
The cost of the full-day training is $175 per participant and includes breakfast and lunch, 6.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and materials and resources to bring back to your campus.
